PM Group is looking for Lead process engineering support on a chemical site in Lancashire, England.
Responsibilities
1. Working on the process elements of bulk processing chemical plant.
2. Reviewing technical design data including calculations.
3. Creating and developing equipment datasheets, process layouts, and other process documentation.
4. Completion of all appropriate safety studies within defined timeframe.
5. Other tasks in-keeping with the remit of a process engineering consultant.
6. Developing design specifications and P&IDs.
7. Producing and maintaining mass balance documentation.
8. Writing and reviewing URS documents, SOP documents, and other design documentation relevant to the process elements of the projects.
9. Working with and challenging the principle contractor in the project design and equipment selection.
10. Acting as a client representative in meetings and discussions with third party vendors.
11. Working alongside third party contractors and offering input into process design and installation.
12. Collaborating with other client departments and offering technical support as required.
13. Offering technical knowledge and experience to the design and specification of equipment selection, installation, validation and operation in line with site standards.
14. Providing hands-on problem-solving, thorough investigation, and fault-finding expertise.
15. Ensuring that GMP, Quality, Health and Safety processes are adhered to in all aspects of role.
16. General process improvement, quality design, and risk management.
17. Overseeing clientside team of process engineers.
Qualifications
1. Candidates must have proven experience of working as a process engineer in chemicals and/or petrochemicals design and operations.
2. Knowledge of standard industry practices, procedures and safety measures is essential.
3. The successful candidates will have strong leadership and communication skills, including the ability to challenge and work with other technical engineers and project stakeholders.
4. Candidates should have a degree in chemical engineering or other relevant discipline.
5. Experience in process modelling software would be advantageous.
