Description Holbrook Primary School – Ipswich, Suffolk, IP9 2PZ Grade 2, £23,657 - £24,027 per annum pro rata 25 hours per week, 38 weeks per year Part Time Permanent Reference: 6805 Required as soon as possible We are seeking to employ a Learning Support Assistant for 5 mornings and 3 afternoons, together with 30 minutes Midday Supervising Assistant cover each day. As part of the role, the successful applicant will be supporting individual pupils potentially in upper Key Stage 1 and lower key stage. These children with additional needs will be supported one to one as well as in small groups. You will: genuinely enjoy working with children have strong interpersonal skills to build positive and supportive relationships with children, staff and parents possess good literacy, numeracy (at least C grade at GCSE or equivalent) and computing skills be aware of the curriculum requirements for Primary Schools be a team player with a positive attitude be flexible and have the ability to use your own initiative to support the learning needs of children be calm under pressure have experience of working with SEND pupils in schools or other settings have experience working with small groups to teach phonics.
