Join us as a Residential Activities and Child Care Officer (RACCO) to support the wellbeing, development, and care of children with moderate learning difficulties within our residential provision. As a RACCO, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, secure, and nurturing environment where students can thrive. You’ll assist in the delivery of a supportive residential curriculum designed to promote self-respect, confidence, independence, and social integration. We have two roles available for this position, Full Time will also be considered for the right candidate. You will: support the care and wellbeing of residential students, ensuring their physical and emotional needs are met implement academy policies and guidance, ensuring alignment with OFSTED inspection standards maintain high standards of health and safety and report any issues in line with the Academy’s Health and Safety Policy facilitate students’ acquisition of life skills, such as personal hygiene, social behaviour, and independence provide support during meals and other communal activities plan, organise, and deliver engaging activities that enhance the residential experience and foster integration into the community perform sleeping-in duties on a rota basis contribute to annual reviews and relevant meetings regarding individual students’ progress prepare termly reports for designated key students.
