Key Responsibilities:
Assist with the preparation of planning applications, reports, and other necessary documents.
Support senior planners in conducting site appraisals, feasibility studies, and planning policy reviews.
Collaborate with local authorities, clients, and other stakeholders to ensure the smooth progression of projects.
Stay up-to-date with planning policy changes and regulations to ensure compliance.
Undertake research and analysis of planning data to support decision-making processes.
Contribute to the delivery of projects within agreed timelines and budgets.Essential Skills & Experience:
A degree in Town Planning or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Some experience in a planning environment, either through placements, internships, or previous roles.
A sound understanding of the planning process and development control.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, with an ability to produce clear, concise reports.
Proficient in Microsoft Office and planning software (e.g., GIS, AutoCAD, or similar tools).
A proactive and adaptable attitude with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.Desirable Skills & Experience:
Working towards a professional qualification such as MRTPI (Chartered Town Planner).
Experience in the private or public sector, working on a range of planning applications.
Knowledge of local and national planning policies and regulations.
