Job Description
This role is key to the continuous improvements made to our purchased materials, components and assemblies through monitoring, testing, and reporting issues to help prevent re-occurrence of actual and potential product failures.
Reporting to the Quality Manager, you will be working within a growing, highly dedicated team of Engineers and Technicians within the Quality department, working alongside Engineering and Operation teams.
In this role you will be responsible for the identification of failure modes in products and components and will therefore identify effective corrective and preventative actions, devise methodologies for improving process inspection & verification. Work with the Operations team to improve inspection and verification and create visual awareness of quality metrics and communication to the business supporting activities meeting the objectives.
This role would suit a person who can work well with others and alone as well as having the ability to communicate at all levels.
Experience Requirements:
1. Strong understanding of various quality tools and methodologies including PPAP, 8D and 5 Y's
2. A background in CNC Machining and CMM inspection
3. Experience supporting NPI (New Product Introduction) projects
4. A strong understanding of the manufacturing process; converting raw materials and components into finished goods.
