Position: Teaching Assistant

A secondary school in Preston are looking to appoint a Teaching Assistant with previous experience supporting pupils in a 1:1 and small group setting. The successful applicant will work full-time during term time, and will be initially required until May 2025.
The school have received funding for a KS3 pupil who will be transferred from a PRU, following the Easter holidays. As the Teaching Assistant, you will closely support this pupil in the classroom as well as in a 1:1 setting. You will be liaising directly with class teachers, the SENDCo and parents to discuss the pupils progression and development, and you will be involved in the tailoring of resources, learning activities and intervention planning. Confident skills in English, Maths and Science are preferable, as the pupil will require additional catch up support in these subjects.

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
