Business Analyst
Salary: £43,000 - £53,000 per annum
Hours: 35 hours per week
Contract: Permanent
Location: Hybrid (Office: West Bromwich)
The West Brom Building Society is looking to recruit a Business Analyst to join our Business Analysis team. The individual will be operating within the core BA Services under general guidance and direction from the Senior Business Analyst.
Core Services:
1. Requirements Definition: Elicit, analyse, validate and document requirements for business and IT change initiatives.
2. Solution Verification: Evaluate the proposed solution to assess the degree of fit in which it satisfies the business needs.
3. Business Change Deployment: Support the deployment of business and IT changes to ensure a smooth transition.
4. Business Process Engineering: Review As-Is business processes and develop new methods to improve productivity, efficiency, and operational costs.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Understand and model business processes, workflows and systems using best practice techniques.
2. Work collaboratively with a variety of technical and non-technical stakeholders to fully capture and analyse functional and non-functional requirements.
3. Challenge the rationale and priority of requirements to ensure they meet the actual needs of the business.
4. Define change requests for internal and external software developers.
5. Support project initiation, business case and tender processes on larger projects.
6. Analyse the impact of software solutions and changes to software on the business operation.
7. Support test teams to develop an understanding of business requirements.
8. Support the coaching of Junior Business Analysts as part of the project.
Skills and Experience Required:
1. Excellent written and oral communication skills.
2. Ability to challenge and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organisation.
3. Previous experience as a Business Analyst with practical experience in a business analysis environment.
4. Ability to understand complex business processes across a wide range of business areas.
5. Experience of working with and coordinating 3rd party suppliers.
6. High degree of personal motivation and initiative.
7. Experience in planning and managing activities within small and large projects.
