Product Design Manager

Location: Blackmill

£30,000 - £35,500 per annum

Our client is a market-leading and international supplier of aluminium food packaging, renowned for innovation, quality and service. As they continue with their ambitious growth plans, they are seeking like-minded individuals to support and enhance their team on an exciting journey.

They have an opening for an experienced Product Designer, within a progressive, market leading food packaging organisation.

As a highly skilled and creative Product Designer you will see products through their clients’ specifications and developing your design skills to deliver market-leading, creative product and packaging solutions which deliver commercial value to the business.

Designing and developing products for production and assembly. Produce 3D models for production purposes and any extra documentation needed (2D Drawings, production manuals). Undertake simulations and prototyping. Liaise directly with clients to identify needs and talk through specifications to be an ambassador for the company.

Ideal Candidate:

1. Degree within Product Design or Industrial Design (or similar)
2. Knowledge of Computer Aided Design (CAD) software
3. Knowledge of SolidWorks software
4. An awareness of manufacturing processes within the packaging sector (including flexible film, paper and board conversion techniques)
