Description
The Team Leader will spearhead a diverse caseload including NIHL, HAVS, WRULD, Asthma, and Dermatitis, supported by two Assistant Fee Earners. This role requires strategic planning and workload distribution across the team, ensuring profitable and timely case completion by leveraging team members' strengths.
Key Responsibilities
Lead a diverse caseload encompassing various disease types like NIHL, HAVS, WRULD, Asthma, and Dermatitis with support from two Assistant Fee Earners. This role involves strategic planning and distribution of workload across the team, ensuring both timely and profitable case completion by aligning tasks with team members' individual capabilities.
Caseload Management:
* Oversee a mixed caseload with the help of 2 Assistant Fee Earners.
* Ensure timely and profitable case completions.
Team Leadership:
* Allocate work across the team while considering current capabilities.
* Provide supervision and technical support to team members.
* Facilitate ongoing development through targeted learning activities.
Client Engagement:
* Deliver specific client briefs and updates.
* Implement Keogh’s policies, procedures, and local initiatives.
* Address and resolve client complaints promptly and effectively.
Operational Excellence:
* Maintain compliance with Keogh's and client benchmarks while driving settlements.
* Ensure compliance with the SRA Standards & Regulations.
* Manage client finances to maximize profitability and cash flow.
* Complete projects and process updates for operational improvements.
Working Hours:
* Schedule: 35 hours per week, Monday to Friday, 9 am to 5 pm with a 1-hour unpaid lunch break.
* Location: Primarily based at the Parklands, Bolton Office, with one day of attendance required in the office and the option to work from home for the remaining four days.
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Ideal Candidate Skills:
* Experience in managing disease claims.
* Ability to provide technical sign-off on litigated NIHL matters.
* Proficient in all stages of the disease claims litigation process.
Leadership Abilities:
* Demonstrated success in leading projects or teams within the insurance/legal sector (Desirable).
* Proficient in developing others by identifying learning requirements and gaps and creating plans to enhance performance and capability.
Technical Proficiency:
* Skilled in using MS Office, especially Word and Excel.
* Experienced in utilizing Case/Claims Management systems.
