The Assembly Fitter Apprenticeship Programme:
The Apprenticeship Programme follows a structured Level 3 Engineering Fitter apprenticeship.
1. Year 1: Spend time at a private local engineering training provider where the relevant qualification units will be delivered and assessed.
2. Year 2-3: Delivered and assessed within Safran, where you will be required to achieve a Level 3 Diploma. Apprentices will spend allocated time working in different departments according to training needs.
What will I be doing?
Your main responsibilities will include:
* Working to aerospace specifications and internal processes.
* The assembly and test of a range of main landing gear components to a finished product.
* Completion of relevant administration.
This role will enable you to learn all stages of landing gear assembly. You will gain an understanding of technical drawings, specifications, and procedures that need to be followed to ensure the best quality and on-time delivery of all products.

* Excellent problem-solving abilities.
* Confident communicator with strong interpersonal skills.
* A motivated, hard-working individual with excellent planning and organisational skills.
* The ability to effectively work as part of a team and independently.
Successful candidates will need to have achieved, or expect to achieve at least 5 GCSE's - including Math and English - Grade A-C or 5-9, Science, and a technology.
Time shared between the Safran Landing Systems Services site and the Training Provider's site, both located in Gloucester.
