Position Overview As a Yard Manager at Lawsons Ascot, you play a vital role in overseeing the daily operations of our yard, ensuring efficiency, safety, and exceptional service delivery while managing an enthusiastic team dedicated to achieving company goals. Location - Englemere sawmill, London Rd, Winkfield Row, Ascot, SL5 8DG, Working Hours This full-time position entails a 44.5-hour workweek from Monday to Friday, 07:30 to 17:00, and alternate Saturdays from 08:00 to 12:00. Benefits for You Salary range £33,000 - £37,000, dependant on experience and qualifications. 25 days of holiday plus Bank Holidays and an additional celebration day. Key Responsibilities Oversee the coordination and management of yard operations to ensure timely service and high safety standards. Maintain a well-organised, efficient, and clean yard environment. Develop and implement strategies to enhance customer service and satisfaction. Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and procedures. Manage and train yard staff, providing guidance and performance feedback. Facilitate stock control and inventory management, including ordering supplies as needed. Collaborate with other departments to achieve seamless operational processes. Qualifications and Skills Proven experience in a managerial role within a similar yard or warehouse environment. Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent organisational and multitasking abilities. Outstanding communication skills, both verbal and written.
