Who are A Thousand Monkeys?
We’re an employee-owned copywriting agency that specialises in writing persuasive and compelling copy to help our clients get results.
The majority of our clients are within the Higher Education sector. We also support a range of B2B professional service companies.
As well as writing sparkling copy, we train people to write more creatively, persuasively, and productively through our Sharper Copywriting workshops.
We’re a small, friendly team of self-starters. We meet in person and work throughout the week in our Bournemouth office.
We’re looking for someone to build on our success.
Due to sustained growth, and internal promotions, we’re looking for a friendly, well-organised detail demon to make sure everything in and out of the office runs smoothly.
In this fast-paced varied role, you’ll be responsible for the full project cycle. This includes direct contact with our existing clients, guiding and supporting our team writers to make sure client deadlines are met on time, as well as monitoring project budgets.
You will also coordinate our workshops as well as support our targeted marketing campaigns, newsletters, and free taster sessions.
No two days are the same!
What sort of person are we looking for?
You’ll be a self-motivated, methodical thinker, planner, do-er, and finisher with the ability to switch focus quickly and regularly re-prioritise work, while remaining calm.
This role will suit you if you have several years of experience as a client-facing account exec/manager or recruitment consultant. It would also suit a highly organised office administrator or work scheduler.
Experience managing multiple client projects or other people’s workloads is a must.
It is essential you can communicate clearly, write well, and have an excellent eye for detail, data, wrods (and typos).
You’ll make decisions for yourself, take ownership of your role and develop it to suit your skill set. As your role progresses, you’ll work closely with the senior leadership team to support the strategic direction of the agency.
Experience working with universities, tech, law or B2B consultancies would be an advantage.
As this role is involved in all aspects of agency life, you must be available to work in our Bournemouth office at least two days a week.

What’s in it for you?
This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of and benefit from the success of an established but growing agency. We’re employee-owned so your efforts will have a direct impact on your career. You’ll get out what you put in.
