Our Geoscience team: Venterra’s Geoscience team is made up of market-leading experts from Ordtek, GDG, and Partrac. We offer unparalleled site characterisation, geoscience management, sediment processes, UXO management, and GIS and data services, tailored to meet the comprehensive needs of our clients. Role Description: The Technical Tender Engineer role will join our team in the Venterra Geoscience service line, and be based in our Hethel, Norwich office. The successful candidate will support the technical input for bids. Responsibilities include analysing tender documents, crafting proposals, coordinating submissions, and collaborating with teams. They will also engage with clients and manage tender documentation. This role requires strong organisational and communication skills, technical expertise, and the ability to meet tight deadlines. Key Responsibilities: Analyse request for proposal and invitation to tender documents to formulate competitive and compliant bids, ensuring all contractual, technical, and compliance requirements are met. Develop and present persuasive proposals and presentations, tailored to client needs and the company’s strengths, while leveraging an in-depth understanding of client objectives to persuade key stakeholders. Oversee the proposal creation workflow, ensuring exemplary composition, content, and timely submission, while providing technical expertise to ensure deliverability. Collaborate with cross-functional teams and external partners to consolidate data for cohesive tender responses, and regularly update the company’s project portfolio and qualifications documentation. Continuously refine proposal terms, ensuring compliance and protection with legal advice as needed, and ensure all internal endorsements are obtained throughout the process. Handle procurement activities, including prequalification questionnaires and registration of interest, and serve as a point of contact for clients through to contract award, with support from the Operations team. Conduct research and analysis to inform client interactions, risk assessments, and assist in preparing and disseminating contract documents. Manage the sales database, track business opportunities, coordinate sales meetings to align with strategic business goals, and administer the archival and retrieval of tender-related documentation. Routinely evaluate and enhance sales materials in consultation with department leads. Essential Experience: Proven excellence in producing written documentation with exceptional attention to detail. Outstanding organisational skills and superior time management abilities. Proficient in the Microsoft Office suite, demonstrating advanced computer skills. Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Highly motivated, self-directed, and diligent with a track record of prioritising effectively. Ability to perform under pressure and consistently meet challenging deadlines. Desired Experience: A robust interest in and knowledge of the construction and renewable energy sectors. Experience within a commercial setting, particularly in sales, operations, or contract management in the offshore industry. Education/Qualifications and Competencies: Bachelor’s degree in a related field, such as Business Management or Administration, Project Management, Marketing, or Engineering. Additional Requirements: Candidates must have their own transport due to the rural location of the office. Candidates should be resilient, manage time effectively, and produce timely, competitive tender submissions with attention to detail and bid compliance.
