Service Manager – Main Dealership Location: Ipswich, Suffolk Salary: £40,000 Basic, OTE £49,000 Benefits: Fuel Card, Company Car, 25 Days Holiday Bank Holidays We are seeking a dedicated Service Manager to oversee the service department at our clients main dealership in Ipswich. Key Responsibilities: As Service Manager, lead and manage the daily operations of the service department The Service Manager will supervise, motivate, and develop a team of service advisors and technicians Ensure the Service Manager function complies with all company policies, procedures, and industry regulations The Service Manager will monitor departmental KPIs and drive performance improvements Handle escalated customer inquiries and complaints as the senior Service Manager on site The Service Manager will collaborate closely with other departments to improve overall dealership performance A successful Service Manager will identify training needs and implement development plans for the team As Service Manager, you’ll take ownership of customer satisfaction and retention targets The Service Manager will ensure health and safety standards are met across the service area Provide reports and analysis to senior management – a core task for the Service Manager The Service Manager will maintain manufacturer relationships and standards Oversee workshop efficiency and productivity as part of the Service Manager’s daily responsibilities The Service Manager will ensure accurate and timely invoicing and job completion As a visible leader, the Service Manager will lead from the front, setting a professional example at all times A high-performing Service Manager will actively contribute to business growth and profitabilityRequirements: Proven experience as a Service Manager or similar role within the automotive industry Strong leadership and team management skills, essential for a successful Service Manager Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities In-depth understanding of automotive service operations and manufacturer processes Analytical skills to support the Service Manager in driving continuous improvement Full UK driving license required for the Service Manager positionWorking Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM – 5:30 PM Saturdays when requiredHow to Apply: If you're a motivated Service Manager ready to take on a rewarding challenge in Ipswich, we want to hear from you.
