The Role As a Senior Business Development Manager, you will be responsible for leading the partnership agenda in a significant grocery account with lots of opportunities for growth. Building strong customer relationships, creating innovative commercial solutions, and ensuring the successful delivery of joint business plans (JBPs) are the key requirements of this role. The role has line management responsibility covering the customer supply chain and as such is fully accountable for both the strategic customer agenda and full execution of the ‘day to day’ business plans. This is a highly collaborative position that requires excellent communication and relationship skills working with key internal and external stakeholders.Key Accountabilities • Business Development & Relationship Building • Deliver profitable, innovative solutions that drive value for both the customer and Allied Bakeries. • Support and execute JBPs and key projects within the customer portfolio. • Cultivate and grow customer relationships through cross-functional engagement. • Budget & Financial Accountability • Achieve budgeted KPIs, including Gross Contribution, net sales value (NNSV), and volume, while maintaining financial accuracy. • Ensure accurate business forecasting through effective demand, seasonal, and promotional planning. • Personal Development • Take ownership of your growth through regular check-ins, PDP conversations, and a long-term personal development plan. Key ingredient to success You’ll bring experience in FMCG with a strong track record in account management, project execution, and negotiation. You’re financially savvy with P&L knowledge, skilled in Microsoft Office, and ideally familiar with Supply Chain. Proficiency in customer engagement and delivering results in a fast-paced environment is essential.
