This is a key role assisting the clinical and administration teams at the practices in organising patient care and helping to ensure that medicines are issued in a safe and timely manner. You will need to be able to work on your own and to prioritise your work.Good communication skills and the ability to work under pressure are essential. Previous experience of working in a primary care setting and knowledge of prescribing systems would be desirable but not essential as full training will be given. The post holder will process patients' repeat prescriptions accurately and in a timely manner, and will work closely with our GPs, Clinical Pharmacists, Pharmacy Technicians, admin team and local community pharmacies. The successful candidate will liaise with patients, carers and other health professionals regarding queries and requests and will ensure repeat medication is issued in line with practice protocols and systems, ensuring any queries are dealt with quickly and correctly.
