You know as a Warehouse Operations Manager what it takes to deliver… and deliver fast.
Same-day despatch. High standards. No time for second-guessing. You’ve worked in rapid delivery environments.
You’ve seen the pressure it creates… and you’ve kept things moving anyway. Calm.
Clear.
In control
That’s exactly what this business needs.
Their current Warehouse Operations Manager retires in the summer, so they’re looking for you to step in, steady the ship and lead with confidence from day one.
As Warehouse Operations Manager, you’ll be responsible for 14 people.
Warehouse operatives, team leaders and a materials control team that you’ll lead, develop and support. But more than that… you’ll own the movement of stock.
From inbound goods to outbound despatch, you’ll make sure stock is where it needs to be, when it needs to be. Always aligned with assembly, quality and customer timelines. Stock control isn’t an afterthought here. It’s the beating heart of the operation.
The customers don’t hold stock anymore, every order matters, every delay is felt. You’ll bring structure, consistency and the ability to spot problems before they become barriers. Delivery is outsourced, but the standards? That’s on you. You’ll keep a close eye on subcontractor performance, work in sync with the supply chain and sales teams, and use data to track what’s working (and fix what’s not).
You, as Warehouse Operations Manager, will need:
• A solid background in stock control and materials control.
You’ve worked in environments where managing stock accuracy, inventory flow and material availability was at the core of your role. You know how to track it, move it, and keep everyone aligned around it.
• Proven experience in same-day or rapid delivery logistics
• Strong people leadership skills
• A hands-on approach. Present, visible and responsive
• Confidence to make decisions and lead through change.
Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365 (AX) would be a bonus. So would ISO9001, ISO45001 or Six Sigma experience. But as we know, most ERP systems are much of a muchness.
What really matters here is how you lead, and how you help others thrive.
And what’s in it for you?
• £55,000 to £65,000 salary
• 24 days holiday plus bank holidays
• 5% group pension
• 8% group bonus scheme
• BUPA
• Life cover, three times salary
• A team that values clarity, respect and getting things done.
They invest in their people here.
Hours are 8:45am to 6pm. This is a site-based role in Wolverhampton, and you’ll need your own transport due to the location. If you’re ready to step into a Warehouse Operations Manager role where your leadership will shape the future of a fast-moving logistics operation…This could be the moment to step up and take the reins before the current Warehouse Operations Manager retires.
This role is exclusive to Marshall Harmony. You won’t be contacted by any third parties.
