Job Description
As a Senior Credit Risk Analyst, you will be responsible for evaluating and overseeing the creditworthiness of our trading partners, alongside some balance sheet lending. This includes creating strategies to minimize risk by establishing suitable internal and external limits. You may request collateral, implement margining requirements, secure parent company guarantees, or obtain credit insurance as necessary.
Responsibilities
* Credit Analysis: Conduct in-depth credit evaluations of businesses to determine creditworthiness and assess potential risks by reviewing and analyzing financial statements and other pertinent information.
* Risk Assessment: Provide credit rating recommendations and participate in group assessments of credit risk, considering industry developments, market conditions, collateral, and repayment capacity.
* Credit Portfolio Monitoring: Supervise and review credit portfolios to detect emerging risks and trends, recommending appropriate risk-mitigation measures.
* Documentation and Reporting: Prepare clear credit risk reports that include findings, recommendations, and supporting analysis for the company's internal Risk Committee.
* Mentorship: Guide and mentor junior Credit Risk Analysts.
* Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A): Assist the internal M&A team by reviewing potential acquisition and investment opportunities, drafting reports for the Investment Committee, preparing bid letters, and managing the due diligence process.
* Process Improvement: Work on automating and streamlining procedures to enhance integration and efficiency.
* Risk Monitoring: Continuously track credit risk trends and macroeconomic developments.
Profile
* A minimum of 4 years of proven experience in a Credit Risk Analyst or similar role.
* Bachelor's degree in finance, economics, business administration, or a related field.
* Proficient in financial analysis methods with the ability to interpret financial statements.
* Familiarity with regulatory standards and best practices in credit risk management is advantageous.
* Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with attention to detail.
* Prior experience in the Energy sector and familiarity with Gas, Power, or Carbon Markets is highly desirable.
* Proficiency in any Slavic languages is an added advantage but not required.
