Job description The M25 is one of our Flagship projects in the UK It is the most used part of the UK Strategic Road Network with it seeing over 200,000 vehicles per day and it’s a critical infrastructure asset for personal and goods vehicles into and around our capital. The network includes around 800 structures and 5 tunnels, so it requires high levels of performance, constant improvement and repairs to keep it operating smoothly. We’ve formed a Joint Venture project called Connect Plus Services (CPS) to work with our partners to widen, operate and maintain the M25 under a 30-year contract and we are looking for a Scheduling Administrator to join the Technology Services team and play a pivotal role in maintaining and enhancing the M25’s technology infrastructure. Responsibilities will include coordinating road space and traffic management bookings, maintaining the service job management system and supporting the tunnels team with routine maintenance scheduling and closures. Additionally, the incumbent will assist with various operational tasks such as procurement, timesheet management and equipment ordering. Key responsibilities: Adhere to ‘Zero Harm’ safety process at all times. Schedule, coordinate and manage roadspace bookings for fault and maintenance tasks to be carried out. Ensure all road space is booked and used efficiently through co-ordination with other internal and external works. Ensure NH Service Now data is captured and entered correctly and all data accurate. Process material/stock orders in conjunction with the Supply Chain Procurement Team. Ensure PPE, equipment and tools are available for issue Provides holiday and sick cover for the Service Coordinator. Assist with maintaining Training records. General administration tasks and any Ad Hoc duties as and when required. Profile IT literate, conversant with database applications, competent in the use of MS Office applications, MS Excel/Word/Projects (or similar). Previous experience in supporting a Field Based Team Previous experience in managing booking systems would be adventitious. Knowledge of the area network would be beneficial. A technical bias would be advantageous. Working knowledge of highways maintenance activities, traffic management and incident management. Working knowledge of National Highways’ Service Now job management system, and/or Connect Plus Services Network Occupancy Management (NOMS) system.
