Job Title: Interim Financial Controller
Location: Bristol/Bath/London (Remote with occasional office attendance)
Duration: 6 months (Starting March 2025)

Day Rate: Competitive (Outside IR35 possible)
About the Role:
The Hays Senior Finance team is seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a dynamic private equity-backed manufacturing business. This is a 6-month interim position, starting as soon as March 2025. You will report directly to the CEO and provide crucial support in several key areas.
Key Responsibilities:
* Prepare and organise the budget for FY 2026.
* Address and update Management Accounts.
* Extract and present financial data for shareholders and the board.
* Set up and manage a KPI dashboard to measure outputs.
* Collaborate effectively with the outsourced bookkeeper.
* Attend board meetings in London occasionally with the CEO.
Ideal Candidate:
* Proven experience in a similar role within an SME (30-35 employees, £8 million turnover).
* Proficient in using Sage 200.
* Strong financial acumen and ability to work independently.
* Excellent communication and presentation skills.
* Flexible and able to work remotely, with a requirement to be in the office on Tuesdays.
