We require an experienced and technically minded Field Service & RMA Team Manager to oversee and support our Field Service and RMA team. The Customer Logistic Support team provide after-sales and through life support. This role will involve management of the Field Service Engineering Team for installing, configuring, maintaining, supporting, and optimising all products and systems, and to oversee the RMA Department for the delivery of spares and repairs. Key Responsibilities: Reporting to the Customer Logistics Support Manager, the successful applicant will have the responsibility for: Management of the FSE team and the RMA Team Lead. Organising the workload and priorities of the Field Service Engineering team in line with customer and business requirements. To be the main point of contact for the FSE team with technical queries when working in the field. Reviewing post site visit reports and new FSE training material. Review of risk assessments and SSOW’s for installation/commissioning activities. To support the wider CLS team and external customers by providing technical solutions and guidance. Supporting the RMA team lead, focusing on reducing Survey Turn around times (TAT) and repair cycle turn around times (TAT) and customer satisfaction. Assisting the RMA team lead with prioritisation and forecasting. Assistance in the identification employee training requirements. Identifying and reporting capacity or capability constraints. Ensuring any equipment maintenance schedules are adhered to and the safe use of equipment is observed at all times. Ensuring all processes and best practices are adhered to, in line with company and regulatory requirements. Identifying and supporting continuous improvement initiatives. Willingness to travel to customer locations in support of FSE’s or in instances of Heavy workload if required. Skills & Experience Essential Experience of complex systems maintenance with electrical and mechanical assembly tools within the military for naval, army or air force Electronics knowledge, including microcontrollers with an understanding of basic control theory – servo tuning is required with a basic understanding of radar, optics, and communications systems. Competent mechanical and electro-mechanical skills and understanding. A strong understanding and proficiency with electrical, mechanical, PC architecture, and software skills including problem diagnosis, software loading and updates. Excellent commercial, relationship management and communication skills with key stakeholders and customers. Previous people management experience in a similar environment Desirable Clean driving licence with class C1 is desirable for driving company test vehicle. Have a current interest and/or working knowledge of army/navy equipment/procedures. Experience in preparing and delivering customer facing maintenance and operator training courses.
