We are looking to recruit experienced and dedicated Deputy Manager across the Westcliff-on-Sea area. This is a permanent role. About the Role: The Deputy Manager is responsible for the effective day to day running of the home in the absence of the Registered Manager. Specifically, your responsibilities will be: To co-ordinate and oversee the provision of all aspects of the young people’s individual placement plans; care, education, therapeutic Input, and assessment The day-to-day administration of the home particularly in terms of meeting legislative and business requirements To provide leadership, guidance, and management Ensure that a model of supervision is offered to all staff Ensuring that the home is meeting Ofsted requirements You’ll be an experienced leader and motivator of staff and you must have worked in a Children’s Home before supporting young people who have experienced childhood trauma Who are we looking for? Proof of eligibility to work in the UK (We do not offer sponsorship) Ability to provide 2 references (one from current or most recent employer) 2 years working in a residential children’s service with at least 1-year supervisory experience working at a senior level Knowledge and understanding of the Children’s Homes Regulations and Quality Standards 2015 Level 3 Diploma for Residential Childcare or equivalent (Essential) Willingness to undertake L5 Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare When it comes to caring for our young people, only the best will do.
