About the Role
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Manufacturing Process Engineer to support our consumables manufacturing operations. This role requires a strong focus on clean room environments, ensuring compliance with quality standards and driving continuous improvements. The ideal candidate will bring a deep understanding of process engineering principles, clean room protocols, and the ability to drive continuous improvement in a demanding manufacturing setting.
Primary responsibilities for this role include:
1. Creating manufacturing processes after analyzing the requirements of the finished product, developing, altering and testing various manufacturing methods and consulting with equipment vendors.
2. Analyzing various aspects of manufacturing with the goal of finding elements that can be improved.
3. Conducting research and assessing various manufacturing processes by using their knowledge regarding product fabrication, assembly, design and materials, as well as feedback from equipment vendors and operators.
4. Confirming the quality of both products and processes by establishing the standards that they have to meet and developing various testing methods to confirm it.
5. Helping the manufacturing company's management make strategic decisions by helping them determine the costs of labor, production and materials, as well as future costs.
6. Helping the team keep high quality standards and comply with ISO 9001, GMP manufacturing.
7. Keeping a database of all manufactured products and manufacturing processes, for future reference.
8. Coordinating maintenance and repair operations for all manufacturing equipment, based on previously established instructions and procedures.
9. Training and assisting various other technicians regarding product design and development.
Specifically you will be in charge of:
1. Developing, implementing, and optimizing manufacturing processes for consumables, with a focus on operations in clean room environments.
2. Ensuring all manufacturing processes meet regulatory and quality standards, including GMP requirements.
3. Monitoring and controlling environmental conditions within clean room spaces to maintain compliance.
4. Leading troubleshooting efforts for production issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions for all our consumables portfolio.
5. Collaborating with cross-functional teams, including R&D, Quality Assurance, and Supply Chain, to facilitate product development and transfer to manufacturing.
6. Conducting risk assessments and developing validation protocols (IQ/OQ/PQ) for clean room equipment and processes.
7. Developing and maintaining detailed process documentation, including clean room SOPs, SOP work instructions, and training materials for goods in QC as well as operators training.
8. Training production staff on all manufacturing processes including clean room protocols, gowning procedures, and process best practices.
9. Evaluating and recommending new technologies or equipment to improve clean room efficiency and production capabilities.
10. Driving continuous improvement initiatives in operations, leveraging Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.
We are ideally looking for someone with the following skills and experience:
1. Bachelor's degree in Engineering (e.g., Chemical, Mechanical, or Industrial) or a related field.
2. 5-7 years of experience in process engineering within clean room manufacturing environments.
3. Strong understanding of good manufacturing practices and clean room protocols, including gowning, material handling, and contamination prevention.
4. Knowledge of ISO 14644 clean room standards and environmental monitoring practices.
5. Proficiency in process simulation and statistical analysis tools (e.g., Minitab, JMP).
6. Familiarity with quality management systems (ISO 9001, ISO 13485) and regulatory requirements.
7. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to manage multiple projects.
8. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
