Are you highly motivated to deliver change? Do you want to be involved in an exciting business and IT change project within North Lanarkshire?
An exciting opportunity has arisen within the Business Development and Support team supporting the implementation of a new major IT system and the associated business change.
Working between home and office in a hybrid workstyle, you will play a pivotal role in supporting the Business Systems Manager in the replacement of the line of business systems within Housing (HSMS - Housing Services Management System and CHR (Common Housing Register) You will also support the implementation of the wider programme of works across Enterprise and Communities.
You will be responsible for delivering key projects and identifying and maximising benefit realisation via effective and timely project management and deliverables across several improvement projects and business areas. You will ensure the production and updating of key documents as defined within the project governance process. The post will contribute to the ongoing successful delivery of the wider North Lanarkshire Council vision.
You will support the procurement, development, and implementation of the replacement line of business system and wider digital technology. Liaising with internal and external stakeholders, identify any risks or issues and consider and evaluate the change impact on existing staff including the implementation of training and support plans.
Educated to SVQ Level 4, HND or general degree in an ICT related or other relevant subject, project management knowledge, this exciting post will be key in delivering multi-faceted change management within the Service that will align with The Plan and help facilitate the Council’s ongoing Programme of Works.
You will have excellent communication skills both verbal and written and have a history of successful IT project management. You will require excellent time management skills with the ability to manage complex competing priorities.
Self-motivated, confident with excellent interpersonal skills you will be able to work both on your own initiative and or as part of a team. Experience of working in a fast-paced change management environment with an awareness of the challenges and opportunities presented by digital change.
Experience in HSMS, CHR and financial planning involving revenue and capital budgeting, developing, and implementing training plans and knowledge of corporate governance and procurement practices in the public sector are also desirable.
The post is temporary for a period of up to 23 months.
Working Pattern
Monday - Thursday: 8:45am - 4:45pm (including a 55-minute unpaid break)
Friday: 8:45am - 4:15pm (including a 50-minute unpaid break)
