Ventus Energy is seeking a skilled Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic team and contribute to our ongoing success.
The Electrical Engineer will join a talented team within Ventus Energy's Asset Management Division which is responsible for delivering High Voltage Safety Management, Operations & Maintenance, Commissioning & Fault Response services across a range of High Voltage networks, both offshore and onshore.
Location: Hybrid working, remote possible but must be able to attend either our Belfast or North Shields office when required. Due to this requirement UK based applicants only.

About The Role
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide engineering support both internally and externally for the operational delivery across the Company’s portfolio of sites which include substations, wind farms & Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) ranging from LV – 400kV.
* Liaise with other engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve technical issues, advise on key findings, root causes, risks and solutions to ensure smooth operational delivery
* Develop and maintain engineering documentation, including schematics, reports, and operating manuals
* Draft test plans and interpret test results for commissioning and fault diagnosis on high voltage systems and equipment
* Assist with the coordination and management of bid processes, providing technical input where necessary and support the management of existing contracts
* Create RAMS, engineering SOPs & processes for specialised engineering tasks
* Contribute to the review and development of Ventus Energy’s Electrical & Mechanical Safety Rules to ensure legal compliance and provide training to individuals where necessary
* Support with the implementation and authorisation process of the Ventus Energy EMSRs
* Stay updated on industry trends, new technologies, and regulatory changes

Desired Criteria
* Previously held or currently hold an SAP Authorisation
* Tendering experience
* Experience in the renewable energy sector (e.g., wind, solar, energy storage systems)
* Familiarity with project management and delivery tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project)
* Experience with SCADA & HVDC Systems
Required Criteria
* Qualification in Electrical Engineering (HNC or Higher) with experience in high voltage systems
* Technical knowledge and proven experience of power systems up to 400kV including Substation equipment, transformers, switchgear, cables, protection systems & control systems
* Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex electrical issues
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for liaising with clients, contractors, and team members
* Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team
