Our client is an innovative software test consulting firm that specialises in providing testing services to a host businesses and organisations. This is achieved by assisting clients in many services such as, Change Management, Test Automation, Testing strategy Development, Test Service Implementation, and Test Process Improvement.
They would be looking for a. The Programme Test Manager will establish, implement, and manage the functional and non-functional test stages across Programmes of work. This role would include the testing of governance framework and manage quality gates between the test stages to ensure exit and entry criteria are met. You would also be required to manage the Clients Consulting Test Team and work alongside client key stakeholders. This role will also work closely with the Clients Consulting leadership team to consistently evaluate testing processes, tools, and methodologies to locate openings for improvement and optimisation.
Requirements:
1. Make sure that testing activities run alongside relevant legal, regulatory, and compliance requirements.
2. Create a comprehensive test strategy for the Programme that adheres to the overall objectives and goals.
3. Monitor and analyse testing metrics and KPIs to assess the effectiveness of testing efforts and identify areas for improvement.
4. Overlook the creation and execution of test cases, test scenarios, test scripts and to validate how functional, strong in performance, and reliable the systems are.
5. Identify opportunities for test automation and work alongside the Clients Consulting automation engineers to improve coverage and efficiency.
6. Integrate and manage the testing governance framework and approach across Programmes.
7. Organise the Clients Consulting test team engagement and make sure there is a comprehensive test coverage and execution to deliver quality within systems.
8. Work alongside stakeholders, including development teams, project managers, business analysts, and end-users, to pass on testing progress, issues, and results successfully.
9. Show responsibility for the defect management process across programmes.
10. Organise the test activities for the full programme, which includes defining test objectives, risks, resources, schedule, and scope.
11. Supply training, guidance and mentoring to the Clients Consulting test team members to improve their capabilities and skills.
Experience Required:
12. Upper-level project management skills to manage testing activities within a Programme. This will include resource allocation, issue tracking, risk management and scheduling.
13. A high-level understanding of testing methodologies, such as integration testing, unit testing, system testing, acceptance testing, and regression testing. Experience with automation test tools and frameworks (Ability to produce comprehensive test strategies and test plans tailored to the exact needs of the Programme.
14. Great communication skills to successfully work with client stakeholders and the clients consulting leadership team.
15. Leading and organising test teams to motivate and inspire members of the team to ensure high-quality deliverables.
16. A keen eye for attention to detail to ensure thorough test coverage and pinpoint reporting of defects and issues. With a proficiency in reviewing test cases, documentation, and requirements with precision.
17. The ability to adapt to changing needs, priorities, and timelines in a fast-paced environment. Is able to show the flexibility needed to adjust testing strategies and approaches.
18. A customer-centric mindset focused on delivery high quality products that meet or exceed client expectations.

20. ISTQB Test management qualification (Desirable)
Salary: £50,000 – £68,000 per annum, depending on experience.
