Job Title: Principal Quality Engineer
Location: Filton, Weymouth, Frimley, Yeovil or Broad Oak - We offer a range of hybrid and flexible working arrangements - please speak to your recruiter about the options for this particular role.
Salary: Up to £45,000 dependent on experience
What you’ll be doing:
1. Travelling and performing quality audits and reviews at supplier premises and taking ownership of supplier generated documentation in support of deliveries
2. Anticipating and escalating problem areas and provide guidance to peers and suppliers
3. Monitoring and ensuring projects and supplier’s adherence to contracted quality assurance requirements
4. Reviewing Subcontractor and Internal Designs to ensure compliance and adherence to life cycle processes
5. Completing in-process inspections of a variety of complex electromechanical systems and supporting documentation
6. Raising non-conformances for all instances where Right First Time (RFT) has not been achieved and progress and manage corrective actions and RCA's to closure
Your skills and experiences:
1. Experience in Quality Assurance (Supplier Quality)
2. Quality Assurance experience in a manufacturing background
3. Willing to travel nationally on a regular basis (business funded)
4. Defence background is advantageous
5. Experience in an Electrical or Mechanical manufacturing environment
6. Supplier Quality experience

The ICS Quality Team:
As a Principal Quality Engineer, you will be key in delivering quality assurance across Integrated Combat Systems to enable the achievement of a quality product or service which meets stakeholder's needs. You will be responsible for applying Quality Assurance governance from design to delivery for products, while liaising with Senior Stakeholders, Contractors and 3rd Party Suppliers. You will have the opportunity to help develop your skills and build a lasting career with BAE Systems.
