AWS Marketplace Specialist is part of the AWS WWSO GTM team responsible for driving revenue, adoption, and growth from the largest and fastest growing customers including public sector.
AWS Marketplace Specialist Customer Advisors are part of the WWSO and are responsible for driving the adoption of AWSMP with buyers. They also provide a 360-degree customer feedback loop inclusive of MP Engineering. Their role is to accelerate customer adoption of specific offerings, working through the AWS field and partners while providing direct feedback to Service engineering, strongly aligning with the Specialist role.
AWS Marketplace Specialist Customer Advisors work with the AWS teams to increase AWS Marketplace adoption at AWS customers across UKI. As the owner of this business, you will work with the AWSMP Specialist across EMEA and in the UK&I with the AGS AM's.
On a daily basis, you help your customers move to the next model for software procurement and deployment as they migrate to the cloud. You will engage directly with their Procurement Managers to drive and support adoption of the AWS Marketplace.
You should be self-motivated, customer-centric, very delivery-focused with a demonstrated ability to think strategically and long-term about the needs of our customers.
AWS Marketplace (http://aws.amazon.com/marketplace) is an online store where customers can find, buy, and immediately start using software in a utility model that runs on the AWS Cloud.
Our job is to bring Amazon's e-commerce expertise to cloud software and fundamentally change how software is discovered and consumed in the cloud. We have a long list of new ideas just waiting to be designed and implemented.
Key job responsibilities
1. Develop a short term and long term strategic AWS Marketplace plan.
2. Work with existing AWS business development and field organizations to engage with customers and partners to execute joint go-to-market programs, owning the day-to-day interactions with existing customers and greenfield accounts to identify needs met through AWS Marketplace.
3. Serve as a key member of the UKI Region and EMEA Marketplace Specialist team in helping to define and deliver the Marketplace strategy for Customers in a direct or indirect delivery model.
4. Understand the technical requirements of customers and partners, and work closely with the internal development team to guide the direction of our product offerings.
5. Educate and enable the sales teams and increase visibility of AWS Marketplace products across all relevant AWS teams.
6. Manage complex contract negotiations as needed and serve as a partner liaison to the legal group.
A day in the life
You will define and execute the strategy across customers in UKI.
You will work with the AWS organization to set the AWS Marketplace strategy. In your daily job, you will enable account managers and partner managers, and engage directly with customers, independent software vendors (ISV) and software resellers to support successful software transactions through the AWS Marketplace.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree
- Experience in developing, negotiating and executing business agreements
- Experience developing strategies that influence leadership decisions at the organizational level
- Experience managing programs across cross-functional teams, building processes and coordinating release schedules
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Experience interpreting data and making business recommendations
- Experience identifying, negotiating, and executing complex legal agreements
