What you’ll be doing
* You will be telling the story of our Commercial Lending business, highlighting how we are supporting the UK's small to medium-sized companies - from manufacturers to housebuilders - through innovative finance products, detailing how we help our customers to achieve their growth ambitions.
* You will be raising the profile of the division's people, proposition and strategy through your strategic and tactical media relations work, highlighting how Commercial Lending is achieving strong lending growth in our specialist markets.
* Defining and executing the media relations strategies for Paragon's SME Lending and Development Finance arms - the business lines that comprise the Commercial Lending division.
* Proactively engaging with media to build strong relationships and understanding of Paragon.
* Drafting and producing written assets, including press releases, thought leadership, features, comments and reports.
About You
What you’ll bring to the team
* Experience in a media relations role, in-house or agency, or a journalism background. We are looking for a minimum of three years' experience.
* Excellent writing skills and an exceptional grasp of grammar and punctuation, with razor-sharp attention to detail.
* The interpersonal skills to build strong and proactive relationships across the Group, gaining confidence from senior leadership and acting as a trusted advisor, as well as strong relationships with journalists.
* A can-do attitude, the drive and ambition to make a difference and a desire to deliver excellent results.
* A genuine interest in news and current affairs, as well as a passion for PR and communications.

Working hours
Based in Solihull, we operate hybrid working patterns with a minimum of two days in the office. We operate 37.5 hours per week, with flexibility built in around core hours.
