Set in a serene, semi-rural location surrounded by oak trees in Hook, Hampshire, this hospital supports the NHS by offering low secure services and bespoke therapeutic placements tailored to individual needs. About this Facility Services at a Glance: Rehabilitation & Recovery (R&R): 26 beds for male and female patients aged 18. Low Secure Services: 14 beds for male patients aged 18. Bespoke Therapeutic Placements (BTPs): Tailored for adults and young people in R&R and secure care. Specialist Focus: Offers low secure and specialist services for learning disabilities, autism spectrum disorders, and adult and CAMHS therapeutic placements. About the Role As a Specialty Doctor, you’ll work closely with the Consultant Psychiatrist to deliver high-quality psychiatric and physical care to patients referred from local NHS trusts. You’ll conduct assessments, manage care plans, and support physical health needs, all while contributing to the hospital’s recovery-focused therapies. Key Responsibilities: Conduct psychiatric assessments and prepare reports for CPA meetings under Consultant supervision. Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to ensure high standards of patient care and effective treatment plans. Provide physical health care support, including ordering and following up on clinical tests. Participate in clinical governance, supervision, and learning activities to maintain your professional development. Why Join Us? Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act 1983 (2007) and Mental Capacity Act 2005. Desirable: Section 12 approval and membership of the Royal College of Psychiatrists or equivalent.
