We are recruiting for a Hose Technician to be based onshore in our Aberdeen Headquarters on a Dayshift & Nightshift rotational basis. The Hose Assembly and Test Technician will refurbish, service, assemble and test products such as hydraulic, industrial and composite hose assembly, pumps, instrument tubing.

The ideal candidate will be someone who has an understanding and practical experience of working with hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems within a workshop environment, with excellent communication, organisational and the ability to work well with other in a team environment.
Candidates must have a strong focus on quality, with safety awareness of upmost importance.
About the Role:
The main duty of the Hose Assembly and Test Technician is to carry out quality and safe activities for the refurbishment, servicing, assembly and testing of products such as hydraulic, industrial and composite hose assembly, pumps, instrument tubing and any products that the company handles as directed by the company and client, which are fit for purpose to fully satisfy our customer requirements and delivery dates.
Operationally
* Ensure that all tasks carried out are per Supervisor’s & customers written and verbal instructions.
* Ensure all hose assemblies are manufactured using the correct procedure and are followed to at all times.
* Ensuring that all pressure testing activities are carried out safely and in line with company precures.
* Ensure that any faults with hose assemblies, arising from assembly or pressure testing, are reported and raised using the continuous improvement process.
* Be fully aware of component compatibility and competent to use Hydrasun products
* Prepare assemblies using a variety of hoses for industrial, offshore and hydraulic and pneumatic purposes
* Be able to identify and assemble all types of hoses for the purpose specified by the customer order
* Be familiar with full range of Hydrasun products including hose assemblies of various size and types, fittings including those required for pressure testing or instrumentation and extruded products.
* Ensure all required documentation is completed correctly and is submitted on a timely basis
Essential Experience, Qualifications and Competencies
* Standard grades in a technical subject
* An understanding and practical experience of working with hydraulic, mechanical and pneumatic systems

Desirable Experience, Qualifications and Competencies
* BFPA qualification level 2 (or equivalent)
* OPITO Hose Assembly or Pressure Testing
* Previous experience of hose inspection and pressure testing
* Ability to use and maintain equipment to a high standard
