Our client, a manufacturing business reliant on an efficient supply chain providing goods and services to their manufacturing facility on a demanding schedule, seek to appoint a Supply Chain Administrator to their team. As Supply Chain Administrator you will primarily be responsible for scheduling in a hands-on and very phone focused way. Whilst there'll be involvement in buying and planning when appropriate, and some involvement with bringing the production planning and purchasing functions closer together, largely you'll be the person responsible for chasing the suppliers someone else has bought from (to make sure things arrive on time) and ensuring the production plan someone else has written is on track (rescheduling as appropriate when there are problems and changes for any reason). You will need to be naturally very organised, comfortable using your soft skills on the phone to get things amended at short notice with customers and suppliers and internal teams, happy working in an environment of frequent change (exciting and fast paced to the right person, chaotic and stressful to the wrong person) and have at least twelve months work experience within the supply chain function of a manufacturing business.
