A Vacancy at University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust.
You will assist the Clinical Lead Nurse in ensuring care delivery and management of Paediatric High Dependency Unit is implemented within agreed frameworks in accordance with Trust Policies and Procedures, values and behaviours.
You will provide high quality care to level 1 and 2 patients enabling the holistic needs of the patient to be met. On occasion be required to care and manage level 3 patients until the Paediatric Critical Care Transport team arrives.
The Sister / Charge Nurse takes responsibility and is required to delegate nursing care within the clinical environment. They provide nursing leadership and are accountable for patient, public and staff experience.
They will lead, offer clinical advice and support management of services to ensure the delivery of high quality, effective and compassionate nursing care.
They will act as an excellent role model and support the nursing team around them to provide excellent patient care.
The role involves working as part of a nursing and medical team to provide level 2 care and stabilisation to children and young people at Royal Derby Hospital.
