Job summary
We are hiring a Commercial Manager to join our Commercial Team.
Reporting to the Commercial Lead, the post holder will be responsible for leading on a range of procurement activities across the business, working closely with key internal customers for the contract management of multiple contracts in the corporate and professional services category.
This category includes (amongst others): legal services, research, print services, language services, office supplies, office furniture, and medical screening of childcare providers.
The post holder may be required to assume line manager responsibility.

* Knowledge of procurement processes including: drafting commercial strategies and contract award reports, drafting tender documents including developing specifications and award criteria, managing tender process, contract management (Essential)
* Knowledge of public sector procurement regulations and experience of using public sector framework agreements (Desirable)

Selection process details

Application and Shortlisting:
The selection panel will assess your application based on the evidence you have provided against the criteria as set out in the person specification.
Interview:
Candidates who pass the benchmark at the shortlisting stage will be invited to an interview where they will be assessed against a mixture of the Civil Service behaviours and the experience/technical skills set out in section 3 of the job specification.
Security
Successful candidates must undergo a criminal record check.
