About the role:
This is a brand new role and you’ll play a crucial role in overseeing mechanical designs and specifications, collaborating closely with internal teams, subcontractors, and suppliers to fine-tune our proposals through to completion. You'll be hands on designing, which will extend to troubleshooting. Ensuring seamless project execution through meticulous oversight of documentation, and procedures. Plus, with regular site visits, you’ll tackle challenges head-on, ensuring smooth and timely resolutions.

Desired skills:
* Mechanical Design Expertise: A strong demonstrable foundation in mechanical design with the ability to create innovative solutions from scratch.
* Industry Background: Experience in Water, Oil & Gas, Construction or similar industries would be beneficial, but we are open to candidates with diverse experience from all aspects of physical design & engineering development.
* Project Leadership: Ability to lead and manage all aspects of a project, ensuring designs meet client needs and industry standards.
* Design Software Proficiency: Familiarity with tools like AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or similar is essential including creation of Drawings for Manufacture & BOM's.
* Technical Troubleshooting & Innovation: Problem-solving skills and the ability to design with flexibility and creativity, happy to be hands on as required.
* Collaboration & Coordination: Experience working with multidisciplinary teams and external stakeholders.
* Site Experience: Comfortable visiting sites to verify design implementation and resolve issues as they arise.
Please note this role is based at our Havant offices, 5 days per week.
