About the Role:
Teaching Personnel is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant (LSA) to join a vibrant secondary school in Bordon starting September 2024. This full-time position offers a fantastic opportunity to make a positive impact on students' educational journeys across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. The role is initially for a longer-term contract with the potential to transition into a permanent position.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students across a range of subjects, ensuring individual learning needs are met.
- Assist in the development of engaging lesson plans and learning activities in collaboration with teaching staff.
- Support students with varying levels of attainment, including those with special educational needs.
- Help maintain a positive and inclusive classroom environment conducive to learning.
- Monitor and report on student progress, providing feedback to both teachers and parents.
- Encourage and promote students' social and emotional development alongside their academic growth.
Requirements:
- A passion for education and a genuine interest in supporting the development of young learners.
- Experience working with secondary school students, particularly in a support role, is advantageous.
- Ability to build positive relationships with students, staff, and parents.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team.
- A commitment to the safety and well-being of all students, adhering to safeguarding protocols.
Qualifications:
- Relevant qualifications or experience in a similar role.
- Enhanced DBS check on the update service or willingness to obtain one.
- A thorough understanding of the Safer in Education guidelines, with all necessary checks completed prior to the start date.
