GSL Education are actively seeking a Deputy Support Lead Manager for immediate placement at a forward-thinking school in Ashwood Way, Basingstoke.
In this pivotal role, you'll be at the heart of student support and staff development, shaping positive behaviour, enhancing behaviour management strategies, and ensuring consistent high standards across the academy.
Your role will be the key to maintaining strong communication and systems to support excellent outcomes for CWAT students.
About the Academy:
At our short-stay school, we support young people with SEMH and ASC through a trauma-informed approach and Thrive practices. We work with those permanently excluded or at risk, offering both on-site and outreach support. Guided by each learner’s aspirations, we build step-by-step, person-centred plans rooted in strong, trusting relationships. Our goal is to equip every young person to confidently move forward in life, education, and beyond.
Deputy Support Lead Manager role:
* Share behavioural insights and interventions with staff, students, and families.
* Support students in emotional or crisis situations using appropriate strategies.
* Collaborate with parents, agencies, and staff for student support.
* Deliver tailored care and learning through Alternative Provision.
* Use CPOMS to document incidents, detentions, and exclusions.
* Manage post-incident reviews and provide feedback to staff.
* Manage and deploy behaviour support staff effectively.
* Improve systems, support curriculum planning, and promote proactive behaviour management.
Requirements for Deputy Support Lead Manager role:

* Ability to assist in managing day-to-day operations, supervise team performance, and step in for the Support Lead when needed
