A major UK & International, multi modal freight forwarding organisation is looking for a business development manager to sell their Air and Sea freight services to clients from the West Midlands down to Bedfordshire.
Role:
Air and Sea Business Development Manager – BDM – Office based on the road visiting clients 2 to 3 days per week.
Location:
Based from West Midlands office. Sales area West from Shropshire, to East Lincolnshire, covering West and East Midlands, down to Milton Keynes, Buckinghamshire, Northamptonshire, Bedfordshire.
Basic Salary:
£40k to £45k

Requirements:
Looking for someone with sales and business development experience in UK & International Air and Sea freight. Looking for a real superstar, someone with real positive energy and drive.
Responsibilities:
1. Establish own leads and target via telesales and/or email campaigns.
2. Visit clients face to face to sell the air and sea freight services to them.
3. Proactively contact new customers according to targets mutually set & agreed with line manager.
4. Actively sell and promote the company's Air & Sea Freight services once contact has been made.
5. Prepare any quotations as required by the customer and follow up as necessary.
6. Maintain an up-to-date record of the above four requirements and submit to line manager in report form on a weekly basis.
7. Provide proactive, professional & first-class customer service at all times.
Administration:
1. Using sales management system to input customer details and carry out sales tasks.
2. Sales Reporting using company software.
3. Searching for possible tenders and progressing with current tenders.
Experience Required:
1. Air & Sea Freight business development, sales experience.
2. Good understanding of customer deliverables.
3. Full UK driving license.
