International Hub Underwriter - Property and Casualty
Working hours: This role is available on a part-time, job-share or full-time basis.
Location: Your location can be flexible, with attendance at your base office expected 3 days per week. There will also be regular attendance in Birmingham, typically once per month plus opportunity to visit customers across the UK occasionally.

The opportunity:
Zurich CI are going through an exciting period of growth and as a result, we are looking for an Underwriter with Property and/or Casualty experience to join us on this journey. This is a great opportunity to gain experience and exposure in the UK and International Market.
As you progress, you will have full ownership and accountability of key accounts, and you will be able to travel to meet customers and brokers face to face to build those relationships, supported by our Senior Underwriters.
In this market-facing role, you will be joining the International Hub team, which is based out of our Birmingham office.
What will you be doing?
1. Develop and maintain relationships with brokers in support of business retention and acquisition.
2. Proactively seek renewal and new account opportunities to build pipeline for growth.
3. Qualify accounts to meet with the organization's appetite, balanced with sound business opportunity.
4. Work with and monitor underwriting guidelines, rating tools, insurance laws and regulations.
5. Develop, maintain and collaborate with Line of Business representatives, Underwriting Service, Distribution, Claims and Zurich Resilience Solutions.
6. Promote continuous improvement and process efficiency.
7. Cross-Sell other lines of business and services to increase the organization's product density with the account.
What are we looking for?
1. Strong communication skills and the ability to build and maintain key relationships with customers and brokers.
2. Experience of working in multi-national programmes is desired but not essential.
3. ACII qualified or willing to obtain.
4. Proactive and able to manage a varied workload.
5. Analytical approach to pricing and exposure assessment.
6. Collaborative working style.
