Job summary This post provides an opportunity for an experienced People Business Partner with experience of planning and managing workforce change to join our team and further develop their experience of workforce planning and transformation. This role is pivotal to improving workforce planning capability across NHS Wales and is integral to annual workforce planning activities within HEIW. Your significant and demonstrable experience of strategic human resources management will enable you to provide specialist advice and leadership into the development of a range of national strategic workforce plans, including the HEIW Education and Training Plan. You will provide specialist strategic workforce planning advice and challenge into national working groups, influencing workforce transformation across the whole system. You will research and assess existing and alternative workforce models, exploring opportunities for different ways of working and roles within multi-disciplinary teams, providing specialist knowledge of workforce solutions to influence change. You will be experienced in undertaking and applying workforce research in your practice and undertaking evaluation. Based in Ty Dysgu, Nantgarw, this role will have a hybrid working pattern with two/three days office based. You will work in a matrix model with colleagues from across HEIW. Main duties of the job This is a national role that leads in the development, delivery and evaluation of a broad range of strategic workforce planning programmes of work. You will provide highly specialist workforce planning advice and influence into these programmes and undertake specific projects at an organisational and national level across NHS Wales. Working with colleagues in the Strategic Workforce Planning Team, you will provide specialist workforce advice and influence into organisational and national projects. This will include leading on specific workforce planning projects, researching national good practice and considering alternative workforce models and factors which influence national workforce change. Your work will inform the development of the HEIW Education & Training Plan through specialist advice relating to intelligence gathering, especially where this pertains to a future educational or training need. You will undertake an evaluation of existing resources to identify opportunities for improvement, ensuring that HEIW's workforce planning resources are effective and meeting the needs of managers. Working with colleagues in the team, you will update and develop new resources that drive improvement in strategic workforce planning across Wales and deliver workforce transformation.
