Job Description
We are currently looking for an enthusiastic and engaged Legal Assistant to join our fast-paced Residential Conveyancing Client Onboarding Team based in our Cardiff City Centre Office. This is a great role for those looking to kick start their legal career with Howells and enhance their experience in the legal sector. This role will provide valuable support to the residential conveyancing team, to ensure a smooth onboarding process for new clients.
What you’ll be responsible for:
* Discussing fees with clients and supporting them with their queries.
* Onboarding clients and opening files, including setting up our case management system.
* Supporting the team with administrative tasks associated with the new transaction process e.g. obtaining title deeds and issuing sales contracts.
* Liaising with existing and prospective clients, answering and resolving their queries where relevant.
* Always providing an excellent level of customer service to our customers.
* Dealing with third parties such as estate agents and solicitors, as part of the new transactions process.
* Interacting with solicitors within the firm from time to time, providing clarification on any queries or issues.
* Any other reasonable duties and responsibilities as directed by your line manager or Director.

* Have a good telephone manner and be comfortable speaking with clients on the telephone.
