What you’ll be doing:
* Working to recognisedindustry standards to produce innovative, high quality softwareproducts
Working within a multi-disciplined team, utilisinga variety of tools and programming languages, engaging in allaspects of the software developmentcycle Taking responsibility for your own and others workas well as providing technical assistance to support thedevelopment of junior members of theteam Leading during assurance and review activitiesensuring that all required configuration, release and documentationactivities have been produced in accordance with the relevantstandards Translate requirements into software designs,implement and test solutions, and manage integration,configuration, release, and deployment of theproduct
Your skills andexperiences:
* Degree in SoftwareEngineering Instrumentation and Control Engineering, or relatedsubject
Chartered status with a relevant professionalinstitution or equivalentexperience Knowledge of one or more software developmentlifecycles (i.e. Agile, Waterfalletc) Experience with Siemens TIAPortal Leading small software teams or technicalspecialist within a softwareteam

The Control Systems software team: We predominantly supply to the UK MoD as part ofour support to national endeavour for underwater superioritythroughout the world. Our team is responsible for system design,build and/or procurement of the major electronic and complexsoftware systems on a submarine, as well as provision of test,integration and support services. This role will provide you with the opportunity towork on major, high profile submarine engineering programmes whereyou will interact with several internal and external stakeholdersincluding the Ministry ofDefence.
