Key Responsibilities: Service Manager (Roads Maintenance) : Lead and manage internally delivered roads maintenance operations, ensuring safety and efficiency in service delivery. Service Manager (Asset Management & Commercial) : Develop strategy for operations functions, including winter and flood risk management, digital transformation, health and safety, budget management and optimized operational performance. (Job Profile being updated) Service Manager (Passenger Transport Services) : L ead, manage and co-ordinate the activities of the Passenger Transport Services team, including local supported bus services, the Council’s bus stations and transport interchanges, school transport services, demand responsive transport operations and travel concession schemes. Infrastructure to be Managed: 2,489 kilometres of roads 4 principal bus stations 2,902 kilometres of footways 459 bridges 560 kilometres of cycle ways 290 retaining walls 2,738 bus stops and 654 bus shelters 69,652 street lighting columns 171 car parks 11 harbours and piers 9 flood prevention schemes Passenger Transport Responsibilities: Provision and development of supported bus services in Fife that are deemed to be socially necessary (c £7m/annum). Planning and operational management of 250 school bus services carrying approximately 13,000 mainstream pupils. Planning and managing the day-to-day transport needs of 1125 ASN pupils. Strategic and operational management of the Council’s 4 Bus Stations and bus interchanges Operate and manage the Council inhouse Demand Responsive Transport Service (Fife Bus) for those unable to use conventional Public Transport. Administering travel concessions schemes for Fife residents, including the national bus concessionary travel scheme (c250,000), Blue Badge (c20,000) and Fife Rail concession scheme. What We Are Looking For: Experience : Significant management experience in relevant fields, with a proven track record of success. Qualifications : Degree or equivalent professional qualifications (Chartered Status), with continuous professional development. Skills : Excellent written and verbal communication skills, leadership and team-building abilities, and strong analytical and financial acumen.
