Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled Quantity Surveyor to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all costs related to building and civil engineering projects, from the initial calculations to the final figures. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that projects are completed within budget and to the required quality standards.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare detailed cost estimates and budgets for projects.
2. Monitor project expenditures and implement cost control measures.
3. Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments.
4. Liaise with clients, contractors, and other stakeholders to ensure effective communication throughout the project lifecycle.
5. Prepare tender documents, contracts, and agreements.
6. Evaluate subcontractor bids and negotiate contracts.
7. Maintain accurate records of all financial transactions related to projects.
8. Provide advice on contractual claims and disputes.
9. Assist in the preparation of progress reports for stakeholders.
Skills
1. Strong understanding of cost control principles and practices.
2. Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
3. Proficient in using quantity surveying software and tools.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
6. Knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
7. Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
