About this opportunity
Your work environment: CarnaudMetalbox Engineering are recruiting for a Production Engineer to join our highly skilled production engineering team based at Shipley, West Yorkshire.
Your mission:
Your main areas of responsibilities include interpreting 3D models through the CAM system, creating CNC part programs to manufacture parts on various CNC machine tools, and using post processors and simulation tools to prove code before release to production.
You will demonstrate machine safety standards and be proficient in offline and online programming, manufacturing methods, processes, tooling, and setup sheets. A solid understanding of (3D) CAD and CAM software and prove-out software such as Vericut, Veriprog, and Mazak Smooth is essential. You will ideally be proficient with Siemens NX or similar.
About you
You must have a formal technical qualification in a Mechanical Engineering discipline from level 3 or equivalent. The successful candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills to convey technical information with various stakeholders, both internal and external to the business; alongside strong verbal and written skills, problem-solving skills, and the ability to work effectively within and across project teams. You should be highly organized, adaptable, and capable of making sound judgments and taking initiative.
