Royal Voluntary Service has an opportunity available for a SERVICE CO-ORDINATOR to join our team. You will join us on a part-time, fixed term contract until 31 MARCH 2026, and in return, you will receive a salary of £14,413.80 pro-rata per annum (FTE £24,023 per annum). Then we need you About the SERVICE CO-ORDINATOR role: Overview To co-ordinate, deliver and promote the patient transport service, as agreed with the Service Manager. The core part of the role is communicating with volunteer drivers and assigning volunteer drivers to journeys assisting patients to get to medical appointments. Will also regularly speak to patients to capture details of their appointments, complete risk assessments with them, and inform their who their drivers will be and the journey prices. This role can either be performed from home or from our office in East Lothian Community Hospital, so you should be comfortable with not always having colleagues around you in-person. To support the activities of the Hub with regards to any tasks regarded by the Service Manager as a team responsibility. Helping potential volunteers to navigate our VMS system, interviewing, onboarding and inducting new volunteers and assisting them to access online training. Keeping digital records accurate and up-to-date To ensure that services are delivered in line with Royal Voluntary Service mission, service plan and service level agreements in order to achieve key performance targets. To undertake any other reasonable duties commensurate with the purpose and remit of the post as agreed with the Service Manager. Working Hours: 21 Hours, Monday 09:00am - 14:30pm, Tuesday 09:00am-14:30pm, Thursday 09:00am-14:30pm. Friday 09:00am-14:30pm with a 30 minute break each day. What you’ll need: Knowledge Good level of education to GCSE or Scottish Higher or beyond. Willingness to undertake training and continued professional Skills Ability to provide appropriate support and supervision to volunteers. Ability to proficiently use Microsoft Excel especially, but also Microsoft Word, Teams, Outlook. And the ability to learn a piece of software called Coldharbour. Experience Knowledge and experience of recording data, monitoring and evaluating processes and maintaining databases. Experience of scheduling or planning. Experience of following complex processes.
