AWE is currently recruiting for a number of Operational Readiness Managers to join a newly formed team as part of an exciting initiative to improve comprehensive project delivery.
Location: Reading / Basingstoke
Salary: £60,000 - £89,000 - dependant on skills and experience
As part of the Operational Readiness (OR) and Transition (ORT) Group, the Operational Readiness Manager (ORM) is a fundamental role in the structure – playing a key part in the delivery of the AWE capability through ensuring operational factors are incorporated and integrated into project planning from the outset. The ORM acts as the Intelligent Customer for the Transition Phase of projects to ensure that when assets/outputs are delivered they are able to operate and ramp up to full operating capability seamlessly and without delay. They also lead the Designate Operations Team (DOT).

To be Successful in this role:
* You will have credible experience in an operational, project management or capability management context.
* Strong project, capability and/or operational management skills.
* Ability to operate credibly at senior level with strong communication skills.
Key Accountabilities:
* Deliver operational readiness planning, management, guidance and direction for assigned projects.
* Analyse, plan, corral and integrate the inputs, systems, processes, and other enablers required for asset operation.
* Develop and own the ORT plan and responsible for ORT reporting within assigned projects.
Key Responsibilities:
* Operate as tasked by the Technology Centre lead, representing the operator in respect of OR.
* Support the Capability/Project Sponsor and Project Manager.
* Ensure comprehensive cross lines of development/activity integration.
* Lead, coach and develop the Designate Operations Team.
* Support broader project management activities.
* Maintain and promote high personal standards in environment, safety, health, security and quality.
Although not essential, we are particularly interested in individuals with the following:
* Degree or equivalent in a related discipline.
* Capability Management experience.
* Experience of working in regulated environments.

The successful candidate is required to carry out all their duties from a UK location.
Candidates must be willing to obtain and maintain the necessary security clearance for the role.
