Job description
Following a successful bid for funding to increase our capacity within our releasing time to care service, we have 2 exciting posts that have become available.
The aim of these roles will be to build on the excellent work by the releasing time to care team, and will work alongside and be guided by the releasing team care lead. The role is about right-sizing care packages, working alongside care agencies and across different professionals to assess, review, and provide professional guidance around single-handed care and managing moving and handling differently. This team has been working within the Adult Social directorate for a number of years and has a proven record of supporting people to remain living their lives in the community in Pembrokeshire, with the appropriate level of care and support.
These posts will be supporting the development and delivery of a training programme, with the overall aim to improve the standards of moving and handling across the social care sector. This will involve supporting with assessments & the reviews in the relevant settings and delivering training to key people such as informal carers, direct payment carers, and formal care providers.
Therefore, an excellent working knowledge and experience within the area of moving and handling service area is important, along with commitment, enthusiasm, shared values, and the ability to embrace and contribute to ways of working under the SS & WBA is essential. It would be beneficial if you have had experience of training; however, this is not essential, and the relevant training courses will be provided.
