Responsibilities
As an Electrical CAD Designer/Drafter I with AMERICAN SYSTEMS, you will have the opportunity to do the following:
* Provide insight to the ins and outs of drafting and designing in a professional environment for United States Submarines!
* Work on United States Nuclear Submarine Non-Propulsion Electronic System (NPES) projects.
* Conduct ship checks on Los Angeles Class, SEAWOLF Class, VIRGINIA Class and OHIO Class (SSBN/SSGN) submarines.
* Conduct research of submarine construction drawings using the Advanced Technical Information Support (ATIS) System.
* Develop 2D shipboard interconnect Cabling Diagrams in accordance with Military Specifications.
* Develop Wiring Tables, Elementary Wiring Diagrams, Lists of Material (LOM).
* Interpret Government Furnished Information (GFI) to meet design requirements.
Qualifications
* Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Secret Clearance.
* Associate's Degree in Electrical Engineering or Electronic Engineering Technology.
* Physically capable to conduct ship checks on United States Nuclear Submarines.
* Be comfortable in relatively confined spaces.
* Able to climb vertical ladders (20’ – 25’) within the submarine.
6 months to One (1) year of business experience in:
* Creating 2D drawings using Computer-Aided Design (CAD) drafting software applications.
* Autodesk AutoCAD desired but not required.
* Adobe PDF tools.
Pay Transparency Statement
AMERICAN SYSTEMS is committed to pay transparency for our applicants and employee-owners. The salary range for this position is USD $36,800.00/Yr. - USD $77,500.00/Yr. Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
