Job Description
1. Provide a full senior finance business partnering service for the activities and stakeholders that you are partnering.
2. Collaborate with departments across the organization to improve the impact and understanding of financial reporting & analysis on organizational performance.
3. Drive analysis and deliver insight that links financial reports to organizational strategy.
4. Deliver financial training and coaching to managers and budget delegates.
5. Guide and support your customers throughout the planning, budget, and forecasting processes, ensuring they understand the financial reporting requirements and output.
6. Support the development of tools to provide financial management and scenario planning for budget holders.
7. Produce, verify, and maintain the documented outputs of the planning process, ensuring they are accurate, consistent, and that cross-functional plans are aligned.
8. Contribute effectively to the integration of planning and budgeting processes across the wider CFO team.
9. Add value to the team by seeking to improve the quality and efficiency of the Finance Business Partnering ways of working.
10. Keep track of external best practices and stakeholder feedback and utilize them as appropriate.
11. Support change to ensure operational, commercial, and financial targets are delivered.
12. Develop partnerships and maintain strong relationships with all senior managers and their teams.
13. Work with your customers to identify financial risks and opportunities to their planned activities.
14. Lead on the tracking of financial performance against departmental plans and forecasts, driving for corrective action when needed and ensuring that plans remain aligned to the strategy, Business Plans, and Budgets.
15. Attend relevant departmental and project meetings, ensuring there is a finance presence where appropriate.
16. Analyse and suggest improvements that could be made to current systems, structures, and reporting.
17. Ensure compliance with business processes and controls are being adhered to by key customers.
18. Deputize for Strategic Finance Business Partners as required.
19. Become involved in other ad hoc activities as required.
The Successful Applicant
1. Qualified member of a recognized accounting body (e.g., ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
2. Established track record of Business Partnering within a large, complex organization.
3. Excellent understanding of financial processes and controls.
4. Proven experience of working in a matrix-managed environment.
5. Effective stakeholder management and customer liaison skills.
6. Business Partnering experience at a Senior Leadership level.
